We are pleased to report that the state legislature has passed its budget.
A 3% across the board raise for UT faculty and staff has been passed. The 401 (k) match has been increased from $40 to $50.
A new UT Chattanooga library will be funded!

Fellow Union Members,
Tonight, Tuesday, June 12, the Knoxville Chapter of UCW-CWA will have our regular chapter meeting. We will be discussing the pay raise, as well as beginning to plan our 2007-2008 campaign.
The meeting will start at 5:30pm and will take place at our headquarters, 1124 N. Broadway, Knoxville, TN, 37917.

Donations of clothes, household items, etc. are needed for the United Campus Workers rummage sale. The money raised will help send our three UCW delegates to the 2007 Communication Workers of America Convention.
We will be accepting donations at the UNITE Building (1124 N. Broadway) on Thursday, June 21 and Friday, June 22 from 4-7. [...]
