As public workers in Tennessee the vast majority of decisions that shape our working lives are made and influence by the Tennessee General Assembly in Nashville.

These current budget cuts are a prime example.  Nashville demands the cuts and our campus and system administrations are forced to implement them.  But these decisions are not the result of some natural occurance, they are political.  For this reason we are able to impact them.  Take a moment and call you state Representative and Senators.  Also send UCW an email at fairness@ucw-cwa.org and we can help you become more active in this movement to defend public higher education in Tennessee.
