Virginia higher education workers who join UCWVA become part of a fighting union that is standing up for higher education statewide. Our members organize for shop floor wins in their departments and buildings, while also lobbying for lasting legislative change at Virginia’s General Assembly. All our members have access to new member monthly orientations, monthly organizing trainings, and fully democratic rights to self-governance at the chapter and local levels.

Below is our dues scale, as approved by a full membership vote in August of 2022:

• Temporary hardship rate: $5/mo
• Under $20k: $8/mo
• $20k - $24,999: $10/mo
• $25k - $29,999: $13/mo
• $30k - $34,999: $15/mo
• $35k - $39,999: $18/mo
• $40k - $49,999: $21/mo
• $50k- $59,999: $26/mo
• $60k - $69,999: $31/mo
• $70k - $79,999: $36/mo
• $80k - $89,999: $42/mo
• $90k - $99,999: $47/mo
• $100k+: $52/mo
