Organizing Basics Series

We want all UCW members to be effective organization builders. Our Organizing Basics series will help you and your coworkers hit the ground running to grow your local.

  • UCW 101: Organizing Fundamentals - Are you new to UCW? Have you been a member for a while, but haven't gotten active yet? Do you need a refresher on our organizing methods? This training is for you! In this training we go over why we organize and the basic building block of our union: the organizing conversation.
  • UCW 102: Workplace Mapping - How do you grow the power of your union? We organize systematically to reach as many people as possible with our vision and an ask to join. In this training, you'll use tools in Action Builder to build workplace charts and learn how to analyze your campaign through tracking organizing conversations, actions, and more.
  • UCW 103: Basics for Effective Campaigns - You've been having organizing conversations, your committee is learning about the issues on campus, and your coworkers are ready to make some change. It's time for a campaign! Learn about the basics of choosing an issue, crafting a plan to win, and using campaigns to grow your organization's power.
    • Tuesday, March 26th  Cancelled - Stay Tuned for a New Training Date
